Sample itinerary of Grand Canyon North Rim
The Kaibab plateau is a remote and beautiful place. Come with us and ride
the Arizona trail, hike the rim of the Grand Canyon, and finish riding the one
of a kind Rainbow Rim Trail. We’ll enjoy amazing views, catch glimpses of
the famous Kaibab mule deer, Kaibab squirrels, California condors, and camp
within feet of the Canyon rim.
Day 1, St. George – East Rim
After picking you up at your hotel in St. George, we’ll drive to the Kaibab
Plateau where we’ll begin our riding on the Arizona trail. We’ll ride
through pine and aspen forests, eventually reaching the East Rim of the
plateau where we’ll enjoy our first views into the canyon. Cycling 17
miles
Day 2, East Rim
Today we’ll continue riding the Arizona enjoying an out and back,
finishing back at our camp at East Rim. Cycling 15- 30 miles
Day 3, East Rim – North Rim – Rainbow Rim Trail
Today we’ll shuttle into Grand Canyon National Park were we’ll spend some
time enjoying the amazing views, exploring the historic lodge and Visitor’s
Center. We’ll then choose which of the many trails in the area to hike.
Whether we choose one of the many trails with beautiful views into the
canyon, or choose to take the North Kaibab trail into the canyon, we can’t
go wrong! We’ll then shuttle back into the forest and ride to our camp on the
Rainbow Rim Trail. Hiking 2 – 9 miles. Cycling 0 – 15 miles.
Day 4, Rainbow Rim Trail
Today we’ll ride the Rainbow Rim Trail. This is a gorgeous, recently
constructed trail designed for mountain biking. The trail was built to
have no grades over 9% and weaves in and out of the forest with many
views into the canyon along the way. Cycling – 16 miles
Day 5, Zion – Rainbow Rim Trail – St. George
Today we’ll finish the rainbow rim trail before heading back to St.
George. Along the way, we’ll stop for celebratory lunch of Mexican
food. We’ll arrive in St. George around 3:00 PM and drop you at either
your hotel or the airport. Cycling – 14 miles
