Sample itinerary of Bryce-Zion tour
Day 1, St. George – Cedar Breaks – Bryce Canyon
After picking you up at your hotel in St. George, we’ll drive to Cedar Breaks
National Monument gaining 8,000 feet of elevation. Once there we’ll spend
a couple of hours hiking and enjoying the amazing views. After lunch, we’ll
mount our bikes and ride down the long down-hill through beautiful alpine
areas to the farming community of Panguitch. From Panguitch, we’ll take a
leisurely ride up Red Canyon, enjoying the scenery from a new bike path.
We’ll end the day at our lodge on the rim of Bryce Canyon.
Day 2, Bryce Canyon
Today, we’ll start by watching the sun rise over the hoo doos of Bryce
Canyon. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll ride up trough the park, along
the rim of the canyon, stopping to enjoy the views along the way. Upon
reaching the end of the road, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and then coast
down to the lodge, after which we’ll choose one of the many wonderful
trails to hike in the afternoon.
Day 3, Bryce Canyon - Zion
After breakfast, we’ll head back down Red Canyon, and then South
on Scenic Highway 89 through beautiful ranchland until we reach
Zion National Park. The six mile paved road in the bottom of Zion
Canyon is the most beautiful and peaceful (cars are not allowed in
the bottom of the canyon) we’ve ever ridden. We’ll spend the next
two nights at the Cliffrose Lodge, just outside the park in the town of
Springdale.
Day 4, Zion
We’ll spend days four and five hiking the many trails in Zion Canyon, the
hikes range from leisurely strolls, to strenuous hikes, but whichever you
pick, you will be rewarded with stunning views. Many of our guests will
ride the canyon multiple times on these two days enjoying the peace,
scenery and wildlife.
Day 5, Zion – St. George
Today we’ll ride through the Virgin River valley, ending our ride with a picnic in
the rural community of La Verkin (no kidding). After lunch, we shuttle back to
St. George, where we’ll drop you at either your hotel, or the airport.
